Killing two vices with one stone

PATTAYA: Police officers broke into a gambling den in Pattaya and found seven men gambling, not for money but for drugs. Apparently unaware that it is “open season” on drug offenders, the men were doubling up on their pleasure by combining the twin national vices into one fun activity. All was going well, until their uninvited guests arrived. All seven were arrested and tested positive for drug use when their urine samples turned to the color of the month – or perhaps the next three months: telltale purple. One of the suspects was found in possession of 200 ya bah (methamphetamine) pills. The police were able to parlay the information gathered from the suspects into two more arrests and the seizure of 400 more ya bah pills. The lawbreakers can now look forward to resuming their gambling ways – playing for cigarettes in jail.
