Swiss dies in fall from mast of yacht

PHUKET TOWN: Schmucki Gilgian, 58, from Switzerland died when he fell from the mast of his yacht while repairing it at the Boat Lagoon on Tuesday. Pol Capt Anukul Nookate told the Gazette that Mr. Schmucki died shortly after being admitted to the intensive care unit of Bangkok Phuket Hospital with severe chest and head injuries. A funeral is scheduled to be held when his family arrives in Phuket.
