Weird World News: Fake plastic surgeon takes advantage of transsexuals; a massive tumor gets lopped off; and a little girl gets liposuction for Christmas

Phuket: Put a little on, take a little off: with the New Year in full swing everyone seems worried with how they look. This week’s Weird World News line-up features some of the more disturbing makeover headlines of the week, from having an 89 kilogram tumor removed to giving a seven-year-old girl a voucher for liposuction.

Filling up the trunk with the wrong stuff

MORE than 30 people are now claiming to be victims of “The Duchess,” a transgender “doctor” facing allegations of injecting plastic-surgery patients with dangerous chemicals and closing the wounds with Superglue.

According to the New York Daily News, authorities have accused 31-year-old Onreal Ron Morris, better known as the “The Duchess”, of preying mostly on other transsexuals seeking to develop more feminine figures.

Unfortunately, many of the woman have ended up in emergency rooms after Ms Morris allegedly injected them with harmful chemicals including Fix-a-Flat brand tire inflater and sealant.

Ms Morris allegedly explained to patients that she had performed hundreds of successful plastic surgeries using medical quality silicone.

Following her arrested in November, it was believed that Morris had only treated a few patients. Now, however, more 30 have come forward.

Morris’ surgical shenanigan’s first came under scrutiny after an unidentified patient was brought into the hospital with a mixture of tire sealant, cement, glue and mineral oil injected into her buttocks, authorities reported.

Both Morris and alleged accomplice, Corey Alexander Eubank, pled not guilty to felony charges of practicing medicine without a license.

“There was a sisterhood of trust. She was part of the transgender community herself,” Rajee Narinesingh, a transgendered Florida woman, told the Sun Sentinel. “There was a feeling that she won’t do anything bad, she knows what she is doing.”

Losing the extra weight

A VIETNAMESE man with a tumor almost as hefty as a heavy-weight boxer planned to have it lopped off this week.

Nguyen Duy Hai, 31, agreed to have the giant tumor removed despite the fifty percent chance of failure that could cost him his life, according to France-Vietnam (FV) Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City.

Not a big man Mr Hai’s tumor had grown to the point that it alone weighed well more then the rest of him, The Mirror reported.

Mr Hai, who suffers from a rare genetic disorder, had dealt with the growth since he was four years old. The tumor had finally reached a size that it was crippling him, making it impossible to walk.

“This is a huge procedure with many risks, including the risk of death during surgery or post-operative care,” FV Hospital staff said before the procedure.

Lead surgeon McKay McKinnon, who has successfully removed giant tumors in the past, waived his fee for the operation.

Why wait to start looking ‘good’?

A BRITISH seven-year-old girl got a voucher for liposuction worth the equivalent of 343,000 baht in her Christmas stocking this year. The child, Poppy Burge, excitedly added this voucher to her boob-job voucher she got for her birthday last year, reported MailOnline.

Poppy “squealed with delight” when she was given her boob job voucher, her mother said.

Sara Burge, also known as the Human Barbie, assured the public that Poppy wouldn’t be using the boob job voucher until she reached the age of 16, the legal minimum limit.

“If she develops naturally big boobs, she can have something else done with it,” Ms Burge explained.

“I see these vouchers as investing in her future – like saving money for her education,” said Poppy’s surgery-addicted mother, who has spent over 24 million baht on her own surgical enhancements.

“She asks for surgery all the time. She wants to look good, and lipo is one of those procedures that will always come in handy,” Ms Burge said.

In addition to writing erotic novels, Ms Burge runs a lucrative business as a plastic surgery consultant and organizes swinger parties for a fee. With a free flow of disposable income, the lavish presents for Poppy don’t stop with plastic surgery. As part of her seventh birthday Poppy got a “pamper party” costing more than 500,000 baht.
