Free trolly tour offered for Veg Fest

PHUKET: Phuket municipality has launched a new trolly service for those wanting to see Old Phuket Town during the Vegetarian Festival.

The free service will provide tours on a set route through Thalang, Krabi, Satun, Dibuk, Rassada, Phang Nga, Phuket and Montri Road.

The service, which will be offered until October 21, will begin at the 72nd Anniversary Queen Sirikit Park at 9am, 11am, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm and 4pm.

Phuket City Deputy Mayor Kosol Tang-Uthai expects the trolley to help boost cultural tourism in town and make the festival more enjoyable.

“This is the first time we have offered this service. We hope everyone will enjoy the ride while seeing Old Town.”
