FC Phuket 1 – 1 Air Force Utd

PHUKET: FC Phuket conceded a last-minute goal to hand a 1-1 draw to Air Force United in an entertaining yet inconsequential match at Surakul Stadium this evening.

The modest crowd that turned up at Surakul Stadium enjoyed a scoreless first half under relatively cool and blustery conditions in Phuket.

The Southern Sea Kirin drew first blood at 56 minutes after a beautiful challenging run down the left wing by Nirun Phanthong, who set up Sarach Yooyen in the penalty area. After Sarach was fouled from behind in what could be viewed as a home-town call, Nirun stepped up to coolly convert the penalty kick to put Phuket up 1-0.

Air Force Utd, not yet mathematically clear of relegation, stepped up the pressure in penalty time and were jubilant when Thanat Janthaya equalized one minute into extra play.

The final 1-1 scoreline reflected overall play.

There was no bottle throwing or other unpleasantness of the type that marred FC Phuket’s home loss to Suphanburi on Wednesday.

Other Division 1 match results this evening:

Bangkok Utd 2 – 3 Samut Prakarn Customs
RBAC 0 – 0 Saraburi
Suphanburi 3 – 0 Chainat
Ratchapracha 3 – 2 Chiangmai
