Phuket decor – Love for Oriental life

PHUKET: Oriental living is an established purveyor of exclusive interior design concepts and Asian art, renowned for their influence in establishments on Koh Samui for over 20 years.

With a great degree of interest in Oriental Living’s diverse product range coming from Phuket, managing director Michael Dietvorst, decided to expand the company’s profile.

On December 8, a grand opening ceremony was held at their new premises on Srisoonthorn Road in Cherng Talay, Thalang.

Speaking to the Phuket Gazette, Michael explained why his business has had continued success for over two decades.

“Oriental Living products complement exclusive interior design and award winning living design. We have about 1,500 designs in our collection which we mix with art and accessories. We are a ‘one stop service’ for furniture and interior design,” Michael said.

One of the differences that set us apart is that we have a lot of exclusive brands. I’m always looking for things our clients cannot get elsewhere. In this sense we are unique because the brands you find here are not found in many other places,” he added.

Despite such a vast range of designs to choose from, Michael is very particular with regard to ensuring that their clients achieve the desired effect through consultation and advice.

“We have a number of design experts to help with suggestions for our clients. For us, the most important thing is to listen to what our customers want. Personal styles and budgets are important to each individual. We are not going to tell them that they should have this and that,” said Michael.
