Well, if people don't know what a rip-tide looks like, then there's a good chance they don't know what red flags mean either. Not that it matters since here red flags seem to be left out permanently from May to October. Are there even lifeguards at Freedom Beach? I mean someone must have put the flags up but... maybe they've been there since May?
Seems like drownings are daily there in low season. Do the hotels even mention riptides to guests? Or is the baht mightier than a person's life?
